     John Anna Grierson was the daughter of Sir Robert Grierson of Lag, 5th Bt. and Margaret Dalzell.¹
     Her last will was dated 1 April 1845.¹

     Catherine Dorothea Colville was the daughter of General Hon. Sir Charles Colville and Jane Mure.² She married Sir John Simeon, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Richard Godin Simeon, 2nd Bt. and Louisa Edith Barrington, on 2 October 1861.¹ She died on 26 February 1904.¹
      From 2 October 1861, her married name became Simeon.

     Grace Douglas Grierson was baptised on 17 May 1798 at Mouswald, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Robert Grierson of Lag, 5th Bt. and Margaret Dalzell.¹ She died on 6 May 1886 at age 87 at Moffat, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.¹

     Georgiana Clementian Colville was the daughter of General Hon. Sir Charles Colville and Jane Mure.² She married Joseph Ridgway on 13 July 1865.¹ She died on 18 March 1871.¹
      From 13 July 1865, her married name became Ridgway.

     Judith Grierson was baptised on 2 September 1800 at Mouswald, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Robert Grierson of Lag, 5th Bt. and Margaret Dalzell.¹ She died on 27 April 1813 at age 12 at Dumfries, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.²

     Charles Grierson was baptised on 1 July 1783 at Mouswald, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.¹ He was the son of Sir Robert Grierson of Lag, 5th Bt. and Margaret Dalzell.¹ He died on 16 June 1853 at age 69 at Bluntfield, Rockhall, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Dumfries-shire Regiment of Militia.¹

     Elizabeth Bell married Richard Maitland.¹
      Her married name became Maitland.¹

     unknown son Grierson was the son of Sir Richard Grierson of Lag, 7th Bt. and Eleanor Bell.¹ He died, in infancy.¹

     Rupert Oswald Robin Birley was born on 20 August 1955.¹ He was the son of Marcus Lecky Oswald Hornby Birley and Lady Annabel Vane-Tempest-Stewart.² He died in 1986 at Lomé, Togo, drowned and presumed dead.³
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹
