     Lady Annabel Vane-Tempest-Stewart was born on 13 June 1934.1 She is the daughter of Edward Charles Robert Vane-Tempest-Stewart, 8th Marquess of Londonderry and Romaine Combe.1 She married, firstly, Marcus Lecky Oswald Hornby Birley on 10 March 1954.1 She and Marcus Lecky Oswald Hornby Birley were divorced in 1975.1 She married, secondly, Sir James Michael Goldsmith, son of Frank Goldsmith, in 1978.1
     From 10 March 1954, her married name became Birley.1 From 1978, her married name became Goldsmith.2
