Sir Thomas Cotton, 2nd Bt. was born circa 1672.1 He was the son of Sir Robert Cotton, 1st Bt. and Hester Salusbury.2 He married Philadephia Lynch, daughter of Sir Thomas Lynch, circa 18 November 1689.1 He died on 12 June 1715.1
Sir Thomas Cotton, 2nd Bt. held the office of Sheriff of Cheshire from 1712 to 1713.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Cotton, of Combermere, co. Chester [E., 1677] on 17 December 1712.1 He was ), daughter and heir of Sir Thomas Lynch, of Esher, Surrey, Governor Jamaica, and died 12 June 1715 on 30 December 1758.1

Sir Robert Salusbury Cotton, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir Thomas Cotton, 2nd Bt. and Philadephia Lynch.2 He married Lady Elizabeth Tollemache, daughter of Sir Lionel Tollemache, 3rd Earl of Dysart.1 He died on 27 August 1748, without issue.1
