     Rt. Rev. George Edward Lynch Cotton was born on 29 October 1813.1 He was the son of Thomas Davenant Cotton and Mary Burnley.2 He married Sophia Ann Tomkinson, daughter of Reverend Henry Tomkinson, on 26 June 1845.1 He died on 6 October 1866 at age 52.1
     Rt. Rev. George Edward Lynch Cotton held the office of Bishop of Calcutta.1

     Dorothy Lynch Cotton-Jodrell held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Derbyshire.1 From 3 June 1902, her married name became Ramsden. She was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1920.1 From 15 March 1920, her married name became Ramsden-Jodrell.1

Henry Ramsden-Jodrell was born on 14 March 1871.2 He was the son of John Charles Francis Ramsden.1 He married Dorothy Lynch Cotton-Jodrell, daughter of Colonel Sir Edward Thomas Davenant Cotton-Jodrell and Mary Rennell Coleridge, on 3 June 1902.1 He died on 3 September 1950 at age 79.2
     Lt.-Col. Henry Ramsden-Jodrell was baptised with the name of Henry Ramsden.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal Artillery.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1917.1 On 15 March 1920 his name was legally changed to Henry Ramsden-Jodrell by Royal licence.2
