William Poyntz was born on 29 May 1682.1 He was the son of William Poyntz and Jane Monteage.2 He married, firstly, Mary Aston, daughter of John Aston, before 1713.1 He married, secondly, Dame Mary Moncreif on 18 January 1734.1 He died circa September 1748.1 He was buried on 2 October 1748.1
