     Sir James Cornwallis, 4th Earl Cornwallis was born on 25 February 1742/43.¹ He was the son of Sir Charles Cornwallis, 1st Earl Cornwallis and Hon. Elizabeth Townshend.² He married Catherine Mann, daughter of Galfridus Mann, on 30 April 1771.¹ He died on 20 January 1824 at age 80.¹

Suffolk [G.B., 1753] on 9 August 1823.¹ He succeeded to the title of 8th Baron Cornwallis of Eye, Suffolk [E., 1661] on 9 August 1823.¹ He succeeded to the title of 8th Baronet Cornwallis [E., 1627] on 9 August 1823.¹ He succeeded to the title of 4th Earl Cornwallis [G.B., 1753] on 9 August 1823.¹

     Lady Jemima Isabella Mann was the daughter of Sir James Mann, 5th Earl Cornwallis and Maria Isabella Dickens.² She married Charles Wykeham-Martin, son of Fiennes Wykeham-Martin and Eliza Bignell, on 12 April 1828.¹ She died on 17 December 1836.
     From 12 April 1828, her married name became Wykeham-Martin.

     Charles Wykeham-Martin was born on 11 September 1801.¹ He was the son of Fiennes Wykeham-Martin and Eliza Bignell.² He married, firstly, Lady Jemima Isabella Mann, daughter of Sir James Mann, 5th Earl Cornwallis and Maria Isabella Dickens, on 12 April 1828.¹ He married, secondly, Matilda Trollope, daughter of Sir John Trollope, 6th Bt., on 18 June 1838.¹ He died on 30 October 1870 at age 69.¹
     Charles Wykeham-Martin held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Kent.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for West Kent.¹ He lived at Leeds Castle, Maidstone, Kent, England.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Kent.¹ He had two other sons and a daughter by his first wife.¹

     Maria Massy is the daughter of Henry Massy.¹ She married William Charles Massy, son of Charles Massy and Margaret Spread Cummins.¹
