     James Curran was born in 1757 at Newmarket, County Cork, Ireland.2 He was the son of James Curran and Sarah Philpot.1,2 He married Ann Bury, daughter of John Bury and Mary Aylmer, in May 1791 at Newmarket, County Cork, Ireland.1,2 He died in 1808 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.2
     James Curran was admitted to King's Inn, Dublin.2

     James Curran was born in 1718 at Newmarket, County Cork, Ireland.1 He was the son of John Curran and unknown Edwards.1 He married Sarah Philpot, daughter of Laurance Philpot and Sarah Wigton, in 1748 at Newmarket, County Cork, Ireland.1
     He had one other son.1

John Philpot Curran 2
     Rt. Hon. John Philpot Curran was born on 24 July 1750 at Newmarket, County Cork, Ireland.2 He was the son of James Curran and Sarah Philpot.1,2 He married Sarah Creagh, daughter of Dr. Richard Creagh and Gertrude Armstead, in 1774.2 He died on 14 October 1817 at age 67 at London, England.2 He was buried on 4 November 1817 at Paddington Cemetery, London, England.2 He was buried in 1837 at Glasnevin Cemetery, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.2
     Rt. Hon. John Philpot Curran graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, in 1771 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).2 He was admitted to Middle Temple on 4 November 1773.2 He was admitted to Irish Bar in 1775.2 He held the office of Master of the Rolls [Ireland] between 1806 and 1814.2
