     Margaret Primrose was the daughter of Sir Archibald Primrose, Lord Carrington and Elizabeth Keith.1 She married Sir John Foulis of Ravelston, 1st Bt., son of George Foulis and Jean Sinclair, on 5 September 1661.1 She died on 15 April 1690.1
     From 5 September 1661, her married name became Foulis.1

     Sir John Foulis of Ravelston, 1st Bt. was born on 20 February 1638.1 He was the son of George Foulis and Jean Sinclair.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Primrose, daughter of Sir Archibald Primrose, Lord Carrington and Elizabeth Keith, on 5 September 1661.2 He married, secondly, Agnes Dundas, daughter of Walter Dundas of Dundas and Lady Christian Leslie, on 28 August 1690.2 He married, thirdly, Mary Murray, daughter of John Murray of Polmaise, on 29 March 1697.1 He married, fourthly, Agnes Scot on 7 September 1705.1 He died on 5 August 1707 at age 69.1
     He was created 1st Baronet Foulis, of Ravelston [Nova Scotia] on 15 October 1661.1 He purchased Woodhall, Juniper Green in 1701.1

     Her married name became Dundas.1 Her married name became Primrose.1

     He was given the name of George Foulis at birth.1

     He was a practising Advocate.2 He purchased Lambrughton after 1663.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ayrshire [Scotland] in 1665.2 He sold Brownhill in 1667.2 He was created 1st Baronet Cuninghame, of Caprington, co. Ayr [Nova Scotia] on 19 September 1669.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ayrshire [Scotland] in 1681.2 He purchased Caprington in 1683.2
