     Samuel William Clowes was born on 27 January 1821.2 He was the son of William Legh Clowes.2 He married Hon. Adelaide Cavendish, daughter of Henry Manners Cavendish, 3rd Baron Waterpark and Hon. Elizabeth Jane Anson, on 3 December 1863.1 He died on 31 December 1898 at age 77.1
