     Mary Burn was born on 3 May 1916.2 She was the daughter of John Burn and Elizabeth Wilson.1,3 She married Archibald David Kennedy, 7th Marquess of Ailsa, son of Angus Kennedy, 6th Marquess of Ailsa and Gertrude Millicent Cooper, on 7 April 1954.1 She died on 17 August 2007 at age 91 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.2,3
     Her married name became Kennedy. After her marriage, Mary Burn was styled as Marchioness of Ailsa on 31 May 1957. She lived in 1999 at Cassillis, Maybole, Ayrshire, ScotlandG.4

     Archibald Angus Charles Kennedy, 8th Marquess of Ailsa was born on 13 September 1956.1 He was the son of Archibald David Kennedy, 7th Marquess of Ailsa and Mary Burn.1 He married Dawn Leslie Anne Keen, daughter of David A. Keen, in 1979.1 He and Dawn Leslie Anne Keen were divorced in 1989.1 He died on 16 January 2015 at age 58 at Altamonte Springs, Florida, U.S.A.2
     He succeeded as the 21st Lord Kennedy [S., 1458] on 7 April 1994. He succeeded as the 8th Marquess of Ailsa, of the Isle of Ailsa, co. Ayr [U.K., 1831] on 7 April 1994.1 He succeeded as the 8th Baron Ailsa, of Ailsa, co. Ayr [U.K., 1806] on 7 April 1994. He succeeded as the 19th Earl of Cassillis [S., 1509] on 7 April 1994.      Sir George John Aird, 4th Bt. was born on 30 January 1940.1 He was the son of Colonel Sir John Renton Aird, 3rd Bt. and Lady Priscilla Heathcote-Drummond-Willoughby.1 He married, firstly, Margaret Elizabeth Muir, daughter of Sir John Harling Muir, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Mary Dundas, on 31 August 1968.1 He married, secondly, Xiao Fen Wang, daughter of Professor Jin Fen Wang, in 2011. He died on 4 May 2023 at age 83.2
