     Captain James Edward Alexander was born on 30 June 1841.1 He was the son of William Stuart Alexander and Janet Bethia Dallas.1 He married Mary Elizabeth Webster, daughter of Reverend A. R. Webster, on 19 July 1870, without issue.1 He died on 9 June 1873 at age 31.1
     Captain James Edward Alexander gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Artillery.1

     Richard Dundas Alexander was born on 26 May 1846.1 He was the son of William Stuart Alexander and Janet Bethia Dallas.1 He married Charlotte Augusta Webster, daughter of Reverend A. R. Webster, on 17 November 1870.1 He died in June 1885 at age 39.1
     Richard Dundas Alexander was in the service of the Indian Army.1

     Major Edward Bruce Alexander was born on 3 March 1872.1 He was the son of Richard Dundas Alexander and Charlotte Augusta Webster.1 He married Mabel Eleanor Bosanquet, daughter of David William Bosanquet, in June 1899.1 He died on 21 March 1955 at age 83.1
     Major Edward Bruce Alexander was educated at Forest School, London, Middlesex, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1895 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He was employed with the Ceylon Civil Service.1 He was the Inspector-General of Police between 1907 and 1909.1 He fought in the First World War, as a Major with the Ceylon Mounted Rifles.1 He was a Member, Toc H (Talbot House Club) from its foundation.1 He was invested as a Grand Officer, Order of Crown of Belgium.1 He held the office of Principal Collector of Customs in 1921.1 He was the Government Agent for the West Province in 1921.1 He held the office of Acting Controller of Revenue in 1922.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1925.1 He held the office of Controller of Revenue in 1925.1 He was decorated with the Volunteer Officers' Decoration (V.D.).1 He was the representative of the Ceylon Government at the Colonial Office Conference in 1927.1 He was a Member, International Tea Committee from 1933.1 He was a Member, International Rubber Committee from between 1934 and 1944.1
