     Major David Alexander was born on 30 May 1911.1 He is the son of Colonel James Leslie Alexander and Emily Shakespear Low.1 He married Norah (?) on 29 January 1942.1
     Major David Alexander retired from the military in 1948, with the rank of Major, late of the 19th Hyderabad Regiment of the Indian Army.1 He was the Assistant Military Adviser to the Kumaon Rifles.1

     Colonel Walter Lorenzo Alexander was born on 8 September 1872.1 He was the son of George Alexander and Susan Henn Collins.1 He married Alice Mabel Tweedie, daughter of Colonel Maurice Tweedie, on 17 February 1902.1 He died on 15 May 1915 at age 42 at Festubert, Pas-de-Calais, France, killed in action.1
     Colonel Walter Lorenzo Alexander was educated at Denstone College, Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, England.1 He fought in the Tirah Expedition between 1897 and 1898, he was mentioned in despatches.1 He fought in the Boer War, mentioned in despatches.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He was the Commanding Officer of the 2nd Battalion Green Howards in 1914.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Yorkshire Regiment.1 He fought in the Battle of Festubert on 15 May 1915 at Festubert, Pas-de-Calais, France.1
