     Captain Samuel Allen was educated at Aldenham School, Elstree, Hertfordshire, England.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He was decorated with the award of Croix de Guerre.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the RINL Rifles.1 He lived at Lisconnan, Dervock, County Antrim, Ireland.1
