     George Brereton was born on 21 December 1721.3 He was the son of William Brereton and Alice Norcott.2 He married, firstly, Alicia Freeman, daughter of John Freeman.3 He married, secondly, Isabella Hingston, daughter of Reverend James Hingston, in April 1781.4 He died circa December 1784.4 He was buried on 2 January 1785.4
     George Brereton gained the rank of Lieutenant and Adjutant in the service of the Colonel John Dejean's Regiment of Foot.3 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Carlow in 1751.3 He lived at Carrigslaney, County Carlow, Ireland.3 He lived at Lohart Castle, County Cork, Ireland.3

     Hilary James Coughtrie Cotter was born on 20 March 1918.1 He was the son of Dr. Gerald de Purcell Cotter and Rosalind Coughtrie.2 He married Patricia Kathleen Angela Mary Esther Doyne, daughter of James Doyne, in 1957.1 He died on 16 May 1997 at age 79.1
     Hilary James Coughtrie Cotter was educated at Westminster School, Westminster, London, England.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was invalided.1 He graduated from Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1948 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He retired from the military in 1949, with the rank of Lieutenant (S), late of the Royal Navy.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of the Somaliland Protectorate between 1949 and 1950.1 He was with the Department of National Defence Canadian Armed Forces Base, Cold Lake.1 He graduated from Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1954 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He graduated from Manitoba University, Manitoba, Canada, with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).1
