     Surg.-Maj. Hunter A. Coghlan married Georgina Purcell Cotter, daughter of Reverend Joseph Rogerson Cotter and Mary Purcell, on 24 May 1864.1
     He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (M.R.C.S.E.)1 He gained the rank of Surgeon-Major in the 18th Foot.1

     Mary Grace Jessie Cotter is the daughter of Reverend Joseph Rogerson Cotter and Mary Purcell.2 She married, firstly, George Washington Brasier-Creagh, son of Kilner Brooke Brasier and Mary Creagh, on 10 August 1868.1 She married, secondly, Reverend Ernest Arthur Firth in 1877.1
     From 10 August 1868, her married name became Brasier-Creagh.1 From 1877, her married name became Firth.1

George Washington Brasier-Creagh1

     George Washington Brasier-Creagh was born on 12 April 1797.2 He was the son of Kilner Brooke Brasier and Mary Creagh.2 He married, firstly, Anne Catherine Pack, daughter of Reverend Bartholomew Pack and Barbara Harty, on 31 July 1822.2 He married, secondly, Mary Grace Jessie Cotter, daughter of Reverend Joseph Rogerson Cotter and Mary Purcell, on 10 August 1868.1 He died on 3 June 1876 at age 79.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He lived at Creagh Castle, County Cork, IrelandG.1

Reverend Joseph Rogerson Cotter1

     Reverend Joseph Rogerson Cotter was born on 2 September 1790.2 He was the son of Reverend George Sackville Cotter and Margaret Rogers.2 He married, firstly, Annie Charlotte Butler, daughter of Captain J. B. Butler, on 25 September 1814.2 He married, secondly, Mary Purcell, daughter of George Purcell, on 5 August 1819.2 He married, thirdly, Mary Anne Gaitskell, daughter of Captain Henry Gaitskell, on 1 May 1852.1 He died on 4 February 1868 at age 77.1
     He was the Rector at Donoughmore, County Cork, IrelandG.2 He held the office of Prebendary of Cloyne.2

     Mary Anne Gaitskell was baptised on 13 July 1818 at St. Anne, Soho, London, England.2 She was the daughter of Captain Henry Gaitskell.3 She married, firstly, Reverend E. B. Vardon before 1843.1 She married, secondly, Reverend Joseph Rogerson Cotter, son of Reverend George Sackville Cotter and Margaret Rogers, on 1 May 1852.1 She died on 13 August 1864 at age 46.1
     From before 1843, her married name became Vardon.1 From 1 May 1852, her married name became Cotter.

     Sir James Laurence Cotter, 3rd Bt. was born before 1782.1 He was the son of Sir James Laurence Cotter, 2nd Bt. and Isabella Hingston.2 He married Helena Tryndall Lombard, daughter of Major James Lombard and Ann Becher, on 1 January 1820.1 He died on 31 December 1834.1
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Cotter, of Rockforest, co. Cork [I., 1763] on 9 February 1829.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Mallow.1
