     Robert Montgomerie is the son of Sir John Montgomerie of Ardrossan and Agnes of the Isles.1
     He was ancestor of the Montgomeries of Giffen.1 On 9 March 1413/14 he had a charter confirming a grant by his father, Sir John Montgomerie of Ardrossap.2
