Sir Charles Alexander Anderson and Ellen Katherine Russell.3 He married Alice Grace Mary Barkley, daughter of John Ralph Barkley, on 26 April 1924.1 He and Alice Grace Mary Barkley were divorced in 1945.1 He died on 17 July 1979 at age 85 at County Waterford, Ireland.2
     He was educated at Bedford, Bedfordshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG, in 1916 with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.) and Bachelor of Surgery (Ch.B.)1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons of England (F.R.C.S.) in 1916.1 He fought in the Afghan War in 1919.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1938.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 As of 19 December 1942, Colonel Charles Bevan Carew Anderson was considered the head of the Anderson family of Grace Dieu, Clogheen, County Waterford, IrelandG, succeeding Miss Susan Alice Anderson.3 He lived at Grace Dieu, Clogheen, County Waterford, IrelandG.1 He gained the rank of Temporary Colonel in the Royal Army Medical Corps.1
