     Harriet Black was the daughter of Stanley Black.1 She married Thomas Rhodes Armitage, son of James Armitage and Anne Elizabeth Rhodes, on 29 November 1860.1 She died in 1901.1
     From 29 November 1860, her married name became Armitage.1

     Frederick Rhodes Armitage was born on 11 August 1867.1 He was the son of Thomas Rhodes Armitage and Harriet Black.1 He married Ellen Moorhouse, daughter of Benjamin Michael Moorhouse, on 29 August 1896.1 He died on 8 September 1952 at age 85.1
     Frederick Rhodes Armitage was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He lived at Noan, Thurles, County Tipperary, Ireland.1
