     Jane Ash was born in 1704.1 She was the daughter of George Ash and Mary Rankin.1 She married William Hamilton.1
     Her married name became Hamilton.1 As of 18 October 1796, Jane Ash was considered the head of the Ash family, succeeding her brother George Ash.1

     William Hamilton Ash was the son of William Hamilton and Jane Ash.1 He married Elizabeth Harriet Henderson.1 He died on 29 May 1821.1
     William Hamilton Ash was baptised with the name of William Hamilton.1 His name was legally changed to William Hamilton Ash when he assumed the additional surname of Ash, his mother's surname.1 He lived at Ashbrook, County Derry, Ireland.1

     Major Anthony Guy Atkinson was born on 10 December 1909.1 He is the son of Guy Hamilton Atkinson and Sybilla Gertrude Homan.2 He married Anne Elizabeth Lascelles-Ward, daughter of Reverend Nevill Lascelles-Ward, on 16 October 1937.1
     Major Anthony Guy Atkinson was educated at St. Columba's.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, London, Middlesex, England.1 He fought in the Second World War at Hong Kong, China, where he was mentioned in despatches. He was a prisioner of war between 1941 and 1945.1 He retired from the military in 1952, with the rank of Major, late of the Royal Artillery.1 He lived at Cangort, Shinrone, Birr, County Offaly, Ireland.1 He lived at Loughton, Moneygall, Birr, County Offaly, Ireland, which he had made over to his son.1
