Captain Francis Grant-Suttie was born on 18 January 1832.1 He was the son of Sir George Grant-Suttie of Balgone, 5th Bt. and Lady Harriet Charteris.1 He married Elizabeth MacIntyre, daughter of Donald MacIntyre, on 15 January 1877 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.1 He died on 28 February 1884 at age 52.1
