     Richard Ball was born in 1812.1 He was the son of Laurence Ball and Catherine Jordan.1 He married Mary Agnes Shannon, daughter of Oliver Shannon and Mary Theresa Murphy, in 1853.1 He died on 11 January 1890.1
     He lived at Moorside, Clonalvy, County Meath, Ireland, (in which lands he succeeded his father).1
