     Edward Peploe Smith married Henrietta Frances Bayley, daughter of Charles Bayley and Mary Anne Smith, on 23 March 1824.¹

     Mary Anne Smith was the daughter of Edward Peploe Smith and Henrietta Frances Bayley.¹ She died in 1856.¹

     Lucy Wilton Bayley was born on 2 October 1806 at Hope Hall, Eccles, Manchester, Lancashire, England.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Bayley and Mary Anne Smith.¹ She died on 20 June 1812 at age 5 at Lichfield, Staffordshire, England.¹ She was buried at Elton, Staffordshire, England.¹

     Thomas Butterworth Charles Bayley was born on 21 November 1810 at Calcutta, India.¹ He was the son of Charles Bayley and Mary Anne Smith.¹ He died on 29 December 1871 at age 61 at Wynberb, Cape Province, South Africa, unmarried.¹

     Wilton Rees Bayley was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England.¹ He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.¹ He was with the Bengal Civil Service between 30 April 1830 and 1832.¹ He was Assistant under the Commissioner of Revenue, Allahabad Division in 1832.¹

     William Henry Bayley was born on 14 September 1813 at Calcutta, India.¹ He was the son of Charles Bayley and Mary Anne Smith.¹ He married Henrietta Ottley, daughter of William Young Ottley, on 9 April 1836 at Trichinopli.¹ He died on 20 August 1890 at age 76 at 5 Clarendon Terrace, Brighton, Sussex, England.¹
     William Henry Bayley was with the Madras Civil Service in 1831.¹ He was Commissioner in Karnul in 1843.¹ He was Sub-Controller and Joint Magistrate of the Northern Dvision of Arcot between 1849 and 1861.¹

     Henrietta Ottley was the daughter of William Young Ottley.¹ She married William Henry Bayley, son of Charles Bayley and Mary Anne Smith, on 9 April 1836 at Trichinopli.¹ She died on 13 November 1876 at Brighton, Sussex, England.¹
     From 9 April 1836, her married name became Bayley.¹

     Lucy Seely Bayley was born on 4 February 1837.¹ She was the daughter of William Henry Bayley and Henrietta Ottley.¹

     Henrietta Elizabeth Bayley was born on 2 January 1838.¹ She was the daughter of William Henry Bayley and Henrietta Ottley.¹ She married Reverend George Biscoe Oldfield, son of Henry Swann Oldfield, on 14 November 1865.¹ She died on 15 April 1871 at age 33.¹
     From 14 November 1865, her married name became Oldfield.¹
