Percy Smyth Beamish was born on 23 July 1835.1 He was the son of Reverend Henry Hamilton Beamish and Anne Isabella Spread.1 He married, firstly, Ada Nuenburg Smith, daughter of Bright Smith.1 He married, secondly, Frances Emily Ormsby, daughter of Major-Gen. John William Ormsby and Emily Lavinia Knox, in 1875.1 He died on 11 December 1908 at age 73.1
