     Sir William Becher was the son of Henry Becher and Judith Riche.1 He married Hon. Elizabeth St. John, daughter of Oliver St. John, 1st Baron St. John of Bletso, in 1614, they also had other children.1 His will was probated on 2 April 1641.1
     He was invested as a Knight Bachelor in 1619.1 He lived at Howberry1 and at Rouhall both in Bedfordshire, England.1

     Mary Cranfield Becher was born on 6 December 1716 at Bristol, Gloucestershire, England.2 She was the daughter of Sir John Becher and Mary Cranfield.1,2 She was baptised on 3 January 1716/17 at St. Stephen's Church, Bristol, Gloucestershire, England.2 She married Richard Hungerford, son of Thomas Hungerford and Susannah Becher, circa 1737.3,2 She died circa 1750.2
      From circa 1737, her married name became Hungerford.1
