     Richard Nugent, 3rd Baron Delvin was the son of Christopher Nugent, 2nd Baron Delvin and Hon. Anne Preston.¹ He married, firstly, Lady Elizabeth FitzGerald, daughter of Gerald FitzGerald, 8th Earl of Kildare and Alison Eustace.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth St. Lawrence, daughter of Nicholas St. Lawrence, 3rd Baron Howth.¹ He died on 28 February 1537/38.¹
     He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baron Delvin [I., 1451] in 1478.¹ In 1489 he was among 11 peers summoned to Greenwich.¹ He held the office of Vice-Deputy [Ireland] from 1527 to 1528.¹

     Thomas Butler, 1st Baron Dunboyne was the son of Theobald Butler and Joan fitz John. He married Synolda le Petit, daughter of William le Petit.¹ He died on 9 October 1329, killed in action, by the MacGheoghan.¹
     He was also known as Thomas le Botiller.¹ In 1324 he was called to the Irish Parliament (as were intermittently his descendants in the succeeding two centuries before the creation of the Barony of Dunboyne as a lordship of Parl by patent 1541), whereby what in England might have been regarded as a feudal lordship beca.¹ He was created 1st Baron Dunboyne [Ireland] in 1324, by prescription.¹ He fought in the Battle of Ardnurcher on 9 October 1329.¹

     Synolda le Petit was the daughter of William le Petit.¹ She married, firstly, Thomas Butler, 1st Baron Dunboyne, son of Theobald Butler and Joan fitz John.¹ She married, secondly, Richard de Lacy.¹ She married, thirdly, Sir William FitzGerald.¹ She died circa 1346.¹
      Her married name became de Lacy.¹ Her married name became FitzGerald.¹ Her married name became Butler.¹
