     Pierce Butler, 5th/15th Baron Dunboyne was the son of Edmund Butler and Honora Gould O'Mulryan.1 He married Catherine Hurly, daughter of Sir Thomas Hurly, Bt..1 He died on 3 May 1690.1
     He succeeded as the 15th Baron Dunboyne [I., 1324] in 1662.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baron Dunboyne, co. Meath [I., 1541] in 1662.1

     James Butler, 6th/16th Baron Dunboyne was the son of Pierce Butler, 5th/15th Baron Dunboyne and Catherine Hurly.1 He married Elizabeth Everard, daughter of Sir Redmond Everard, 2nd Bt., on 1 November 1686.1 He died in January 1701.1
     He succeeded as the 16th Baron Dunboyne [I., 1324] on 3 May 1690.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baron Dunboyne, co. Meath [I., 1541] on 3 May 1690.1
