     Reverend Edward Butler was born in 1800.1 He was the son of Richard Butler and Martha Rothwell.1 He married, firstly, Henrietta Skryne, daughter of Henry Skryne, in 1830.1 He married, secondly, Anne Elizabeth Woodville, daughter of William Woodville, in 1835.1 He married, thirdly, Blanche Perring, daughter of Phillip Perring, in 1846.1 He married, fourthly, Mary Elizabeth Rothwell, daughter of Richard Rothwell, in 1868.1 He died in February 1877.1
     Reverend Edward Butler lived at Llangoed Castle, Breconshire, Wales.1

     Lt.-Col. Theobald William Butler was the son of Reverend Edward Butler and Anne Elizabeth Woodville.1 He married Anne Robina Brikenden, daughter of Major Richard Thomas William Brikenden, in 1871.1 He died in 1928, without issue.1
     Lt.-Col. Theobald William Butler gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1838 in the service of the 72nd Highlanders.1
