     From 3 December 1889, her married name became Gernon.

     Whitwell Butler was born in 1798.1 He was the son of Richard Butler and Martha Rothwell.1 He married Elizabeth Garnet, daughter of John Paine Garnet, in 1833.1 He died on 12 July 1877.1
     Whitwell Butler fought in the Battle of Waterloo in 1815, where he carried the Colours.1 He lived at Staffordstown, County Meath, Ireland.1
