     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)2 He lived at Maiden Hall, Bennettsbridge, County Kilkenny, IrelandG.2

     Marshal Neville Clarke was born in 1828.2 He was the son of Charles Clarke and Sarah Otway Bland.3 He married Mary Elizabeth Pearson, daughter of Lt.-Col. Charles Pearson and Jane Eccles, in 1864.2 He died on 10 May 1884.
     He was educated at Kilkenny College, Kilkenny, County Kilkenny, IrelandG.2 He was a practising Barrister-at-Law.3 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, in 1850 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, in 1855 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Tipperary.2 He lived at 11 Fitzwilliam Square, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.2 He lived at Graiguenoe Park, County Tipperary, IrelandG.2

     Harriet Neville Clarke was born on 10 August 1867.2 She was the daughter of Marshal Neville Clarke and Mary Elizabeth Pearson.1,2 She married George Butler, son of John Butler and Mary Barton, on 25 January 1898.1 She died on 18 July 1939 at age 71.1
     From 25 January 1898, her married name became Butler.
