     James Bower Bower was the son of R. R. Marsh Dunn.1 He married Ada Emily Gwynne Butler, daughter of James William Fitzgerald Butler and Ada Gwynne, on 22 January 1881.1 He died in 1920.
     James Bower Bower gained the rank of officer in the service of the 51st Regiment.1 He lived at Claremont, Devon, England.1 He was baptised with the name of James Bower Dunn. On 1881 his name was legally changed to James Bower Bower.
