     Henry Meyrick Hewett was born in 1874 at Barnet, London, England.1 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Edward Osborne Hewett and Catherine Mary Biscoe.1 He died on 30 April 1916 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, killed during the Easter Rising.1 He was buried at Grangegorman Military Cemetery, Cabra, County Dublin, Ireland.1
     He gained the rank of Corporal in the 2nd King Edward's Horse.1

     Patrick William Malcolm Mitchell-Thomson, 2nd Baron Selsdon was born in 1913.2 He was the son of William Mitchell-Thomson, 1st Baron Selsdon and Annie Madeleine McEacharn.2 He married, firstly, Phoebette Swithinbank, daughter of Crossley Swithinbank, on 12 November 1936.1 He and Phoebette Swithinbank were divorced in 1944.1 He married, secondly, Dorothy Greenish, daughter of Frederick John Greenish, on 29 August 1944.2,1 He died on 7 February 1963 at Surrey, England.2,3
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Selsdon, of Croydon, Surrey [U.K., 1932] on 24 December 1938.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Mitchell-Thomson [U.K., 1900] on 24 December 1938.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.) in 1943.1

     After her marriage, Dorothy Greenish was styled as Baroness Selsdon on 29 August 1944. From 29 August 1944, her married name became Mitchell-Thomson.1
