Lt.-Col. James Dighton Butler was born on 9 January 1911.1 He was the son of Colonel Hon. Leslie James Probyn Butler and Mary Christal Heathcoat-Amory.1 He married Pamela Pickwoad, daughter of William Alfred Pickwoad, on 23 October 1943.1 He died in 1987.1
