     Major William Mainwaring-Burton was born on 11 July 1881.1 He was the son of William Fitzwilliam Burton and Georgina Spencer Wellesley.2,3 He married Dorothy Constance Oliphant, daughter of Reverend Frederick James Oliphant and Constance Beresford, on 2 June 1912.2 He was also reported to have been married on 2 July 1912.1 He died on 6 March 1964 at age 82.4
     He was given the name of William Burton at birth.1 He fought in the First World War, with Royal Engineers.1 He was registered as a Member, Institute of Civil Engineers (M.Inst.C.E.)5 In October 1944 assumed prefix surname of MAINWARING by Deed PollIO.1 In October 1944 his name was legally changed to William Mainwaring-Burton by Deed Poll.1 He lived at Marsham Lodge, Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.1 He lived in 2003 at Redlynch, Salisbury, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1

     Rose Ann Morgan Templeton was the daughter of Robert Bryson Templeton.2 She married Captain Frederick Henry Beresford Mainwaring-Burton, son of Major William Mainwaring-Burton and Dorothy Constance Oliphant, on 12 July 1950.1 She died on 28 January 2012.3
     From 12 July 1950, her married name became Mainwaring-Burton.1

     Arthur William Mainwaring-Burton was born on 2 March 1914.2 He was the son of Major William Mainwaring-Burton and Dorothy Constance Oliphant.1 He married Rachel Constance Ryalls Burnett, daughter of Frank Ridley Burnett, on 14 April 1943.2 He died on 30 April 1994 at age 80 at Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, England.3

     Georgiana Elizabeth Mainwaring-Burton was born on 6 October 1917.1 She is the daughter of Major William Mainwaring-Burton and Dorothy Constance Oliphant.2 She married Anthony Wray Eller, son of Ronald Charles Eller, on 7 September 1946.1
     She was also known as Elizabeth Georgiana Mainwaring-Burton.3 She gained the rank of Junior Commander in the Auxiliary Territorial Service (FANY), during the Second World War.1 From 7 September 1946, her married name became Eller.1

     Major Anthony Benjamin Mainwaring-Burton was born on 8 July 1921.2 He was the son of Major William Mainwaring-Burton and Dorothy Constance Oliphant.2 He married Edwina Bridgit Crabbe, daughter of Colonel Sir John Gordon Crabbe, on 21 January 1950.2 He died on 22 December 1996 at age 75.3
