Hon. James Bruce was born on 23 March 1769.1 He was the son of Charles Bruce, 9th Earl of Kincardine and Martha Whyte.1 He died on 10 July 1798 at age 29 at Barnbydown, Yorkshire, England, drowned while crossing the Don.1
