     Thomas Rowland Berkeley was born on 7 December 1860 at Balkes Mansion, Stanford Rivers, Ongar, Essex, England.1 He was the son of Augustus Berkeley and Matilda Jane Owen.1 He married Maud May Allen Diggins on 20 June 1881.1 He died on 2 September 1882 at age 21, from meningitis.1
