Charles Long, 1st Baron Farnborough of Bromley Hill Place was born on 2 January 1760.2 He was the son of Beeston Long and Sarah Cropp.2 He married Amelia Hume, daughter of Sir Abraham Hume, 2nd Bt. and Lady Amelia Egerton, on 28 May 1793 at Berkeley Square, London, England.2 He died on 17 January 1838 at age 78 at Bromely Hill Place, Kent, England, without issue.1
