Colonel Daniel O'Donovan, The O'Donovan is the son of Daniel O'Donovan, The O'Donovan and Gyles O'Shaughnessy.1 He married, firstly, Victoria Coppinger, daughter of Captain unknown Coppinger.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Tonson, daughter of Major Richard Tonson and Elizabeth Becher, in 1689.1 He died in 1705.1
Colonel Daniel O'Donovan, The O'Donovan gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the King Charles II's Army.1 He held the position of Chief of Clan Cathal in 1660.1 In 1689 he defended Charlesfort at Kinsale for King James II 'with vigour, surrendering the keys into the hands of the Earl of Marlboorugh, amking honourable terms.1' He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Baltimore in 1689.1
