     Monica Mary Cartwright was the daughter of Lt.-Col. John Rogers Cartwright.1 She married Lt.-Cdr. Anthony Mervyn Cole-Hamilton, son of Venerable Richard Mervyn Cole-Hamilton and Margaret Bennett, on 25 November 1944.1 She died on 8 September 1954, as the result of an accident.1
     Monica Mary Cartwright gained the rank of 3rd Officer in the service of the Women's Royal Naval Service.1 From 25 November 1944, her married name became Cole-Hamilton.
