     Colonel Sir George Couper, 1st Bt. was born in 1788.1 He was the son of Robert Couper and Grace Stott.2 He married Elizabeth Wilson, daughter of Hon. Sir Justice John Wilson, on 20 June 1820.1 He died on 28 February 1861.3
     Colonel Sir George Couper, 1st Bt. fought in the Battle of Copenhagen.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 92nd Foot.1 He fought in the Peninsular Wars.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Lieutenant-General Earl of Dalhousie.1 He was Military Secretary in Canada to General Sir James Kempt and 1st Earl of Durham.1 He gained the rank of Colonel.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).1 He was invested as a Knight, Hanoverian Order (K.H.).1 He was Comptroller of the Household to the Duchess of Kent.1 He was created 1st Baronet Couper [U.K.] on 23 June 1841.1

     George Ebenezer Wilson Couper, 2nd Bt. was born on 29 April 1824.3 He is the son of Colonel Sir George Couper, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Wilson.2 He married Caroline Penelope Every, daughter of Henry Every and Caroline Flower, on 29 April 1852.3 He died on 5 March 1908 at age 83.3
     George Ebenezer Wilson Couper, 2nd Bt. was in the Honourable East India Company Service.3 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).3 He was Aide-de-Camp to Sir Henry Lawrence at the Siege of Lucknow.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Couper [U.K., 1841] on 28 February 1861.3 He was Aide-de-Camp to Sir James Outram at the Alumbagh.3 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Star of India (K.C.S.I.).3 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.).3 He held the office of Governor of the North-West Provinces between 1877 and 1882.3

     General James Kempt Couper was born on 2 November 1827.1 He was the son of Colonel Sir George Couper, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Wilson.2 He married Emily Jane Earle, daughter of Colonel J. L. Earle, in 1854.1 He died on 14 May 1901 at age 73.1
     General James Kempt Couper gained the rank of General in the service of the Indian Staff Corps.1

     Major Arthur Edward Couper was born on 6 August 1857.1 He was the son of General James Kempt Couper and Emily Jane Earle.2 He died on 4 April 1927 at age 69.1
