     Grace Stott is the daughter of Reverend Ebenezer Stott.² She married Robert Couper, son of George Couper, in 1786.¹
     From 1786, her married name became Couper.

     Colonel Sir George Couper, 1st Bt. was born in 1788.¹ He was the son of Robert Couper and Grace Stott.² He married Elizabeth Wilson, daughter of Hon. Sir Justice John Wilson, on 20 June 1820.¹ He died on 28 February 1861.³
     Colonel Sir George Couper, 1st Bt. fought in the Battle of Copenhagen.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 92nd Foot.¹ He fought in the Peninsular Wars.¹ He was Aide-de-Camp to the Lieutenant-General Earl of Dalhousie.¹ He was Military Secretary in Canada to General Sir James Kempt and 1st Earl of Durham.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel.¹ He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).¹ He was invested as a Knight, Hanoverian Order (K.H.).¹ He was Comptroller of the Household to the Duchess of Kent.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Couper [U.K.] on 23 June 1841.¹

     Elizabeth Wilson was the daughter of Hon. Sir Justice John Wilson.² She married Colonel Sir George Couper, 1st Bt., son of Robert Couper and Grace Stott, on 20 June 1820.¹ She died on 14 March 1880.¹
     From 20 June 1820, her married name became Couper.

     George Ebenezer Wilson Couper, 2nd Bt. was born on 29 April 1824.³ He is the son of Colonel Sir George Couper, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Wilson.² He married Caroline Penelope Every, daughter of Henry Every and Caroline Flower, on 29 April 1852.³ He died on 5 March 1908 at age 83.³
     George Ebenezer Wilson Couper, 2nd Bt. was in the Honourable East India Company Service.³ He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).³ He was Aide-de-Camp to Sir Henry Lawrence at the Siege of Lucknow.¹ He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Couper [U.K., 1841] on 28 February 1861.³ He was Aide-de-Camp to Sir James Outram at the Alumbagh.³ He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Star of India (K.C.S.I.).³ He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.).³ He held the office of Governor of the North-West Provinces between 1877 and 1882.³

     General James Kempt Couper was born on 2 November 1827.¹ He was the son of Colonel Sir George Couper, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Wilson.² He married Emily Jane Earle, daughter of Colonel J. L. Earle, in 1854.¹ He died on 14 May 1901 at age 73.¹
     General James Kempt Couper gained the rank of General in the service of the Indian Staff Corps.¹

     
     Colonel J. L. Earle gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Bengal Army.¹

     Emily Jane Earle was the daughter of Colonel J. L. Earle.² She married General James Kempt Couper, son of Colonel Sir George Couper, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Wilson, in 1854.¹ She died on 9 April 1922.¹
     From 1854, her married name became Couper.

     Major Arthur Edward Couper was born on 6 August 1857.¹ He was the son of General James Kempt Couper and Emily Jane Earle.² He died on 4 April 1927 at age 69.¹
     Major Arthur Edward Couper fought in the Afghan War between 1878 and 1880.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the service of the East Surrey Regiment.¹ He fought in the Egypt Campaign in 1884.¹

     Captain George Couper was born on 5 April 1861.¹ He was the son of General James Kempt Couper and Emily Jane Earle.² He died on 27 November 1916 at age 55.¹
     Captain George Couper fought in the Egypt Campaign in 1882.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Navy.¹
