     Doris Helen Couper is the daughter of James Robert Couper and Jessie Kissock.2 She married Captain Thomas Charles Jefferies, son of Thomas William Jefferies, on 8 August 1941.1
     From 8 August 1941, her married name became Jefferies. She lived in 2003 at Hollyville House, Wexford, County Wexford, Ireland.1

     Maj.-Gen. Sir Frederick William Benson gained the rank of Major-General in the service of the 17th Lancers.1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.).1

     James Crichton was the son of Abraham Crichton and Mary Spottiswoode.1 He married Hester Hume, daughter of Sir John Hume, 2nd Bt. and Sidney Hamilton, on 26 October 1686.1 He died in 1702.1
     James Crichton fought in the Battle of Aughrim on 12 July 1691, as a Captain in his father's regiment.1
