     Major Hon. James Archibald Crichton was born on 8 December 1877.1 He was the son of John Henry Crichton, 4th Earl Erne of Crom Castle and Lady Florence Mary Cole.1 He died on 3 August 1956 at age 78, unmarried.1
     He fought in the Boer War between 1901 and 1902.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Rifle Brigade.1 He was awarded the 1914 Star.1 He gained the rank of Frst World War in the where he was mentioned in despatches and was wounded.1 He gained the rank of GSO(3.)1 He gained the rank of Brigade Major in 1917.1 He was awarded the Croix de Guerre.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1918.1

     From 27 June 1956, her married name became Raben-Levetzau. She lived in 2003 at Bridge Cottage, Crom, Newtonbutler, County Fermanagh, IrelandG.1
