     Lt.-Col. John Aylward Blood was born on 27 December 1797.1 He was the son of Neptune Blood and Ellen Blake.1 He married, firstly, Frederica Gamble, daughter of Reverend John Gamble, on 5 July 1828.1 He married Marianne Yerbury, daughter of John Yerbury, on 3 August 1840.1 He died on 22 July 1847 at age 49.1
     Lt.-Col. John Aylward Blood gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the 68th Light Infantry.1

     Frederica Gamble was the daughter of Reverend John Gamble.1 She married Lt.-Col. John Aylward Blood, son of Neptune Blood and Ellen Blake, on 5 July 1828.1 She died in 1838 at Waterford, County Waterford, Ireland, by hanging herself from a bedpost.1
     From 5 July 1828, her married name became Blood.1

     Major Francis Gamble Blood was born on 5 December 1829.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. John Aylward Blood and Frederica Gamble.1 He married Charlotte Constance James, daughter of John James, on 27 January 1859.1 He died on 14 August 1881 at age 51.1
     Major Francis Gamble Blood gained the rank of Major in the service of the 69th Regiment.1

     Charlotte Constance James was the daughter of John James.1 She married Major Francis Gamble Blood, son of Lt.-Col. John Aylward Blood and Frederica Gamble, on 27 January 1859.1 She died on 7 December 1935, aged 95.1
     From 27 January 1859, her married name became Blood.1

     Major John Neptune Blood was born on 9 November 1869.1 He was the son of Major Francis Gamble Blood and Charlotte Constance James.1 He died on 29 September 1942 at age 72, without issue.1
     Major John Neptune Blood was educated at Rugby College, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.1 He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.) and Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.).1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1893 entitled to practice as a Barrister-at-law.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Gloucestershire Regiment.1 He was decorated with the Volunteer Officers' Decoration (V.D.).1
