Bindon Blood was born on 24 September 1920.1 He is the son of Brigadier William Edmund Robarts Blood and Eva Gwendoline Harrison.1 He married Elizabeth Ann Hillier, daughter of Harold Drummond Hillier, on 20 June 1953.1
Bindon Blood fought in the Second World War, wounded, mentioned in despatches.1 He was educated at Imperial Service College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England.1 He was passed in the Staff College Camberley in 1951.1 He was invalided from the military in 1953, with the rank of Major, late of the Royal Engineers.1 He was employed by Foreign Office between 1953 and 1958.1 He was the Managing Director of three companies.1 He was Director-General of the Institute of Marketing.1 As of 1976, Bindon Blood lived at Woodlands, Berries Road, Cookham, Berkshire, England.1
