Brampton Gurdon was the son of Brampton Gurdon and Muriel Sedley.2 He married Mary Polsted, daughter of Henry Polsted.1 He died in 1669.1
Brampton Gurdon fought in the Siege of Colchester.1 He was a practising barrister.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Sudbury between 1640 and 1654.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Regiment of Horse.1 He fought in the Battle of Naseby on 14 June 1645.1 He was on the court-martial on Sir Charles Lucas and Sir George Lisle.1
