     Brampton Dillingham was the son of Thornhagh Gurdon and Sarah Dillingham.2 He married, firstly, Mary Bedingfeld, daughter of Philip Bedingfeld.1 He married, secondly, Mary Howard, daughter of Samuel Howard.1 He died in 1820,, having by her had a daughter (Mary, married 4 May 1810 William Frere, DCL, Serjeant-at-Law and Master Downing College Cambridge (d 25 May 1836), 5th s of John Frere, JP, FRS, FSA, of Roydon Hall, Norfolk (see BLG 1969), and died 4 May 1864).1
     Brampton Dillingham lived at Grundisburgh, Suffolk, England.1 He lived at Letton, Norfolk, England.1 He was baptised with the name of Brampton Gurdon.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Norfolk in 1789.1 He also had three sons by his first wife.1
