     Andrew Gilbert Hendry was the son of Andrew Hendry.1 He married Hon. Elspeth Mariot Ironside, daughter of Field Marshal Sir William Edmund Ironside, 1st Baron Ironside and Mariot Ysobel Cheyne, on 15 February 1941.1 He died in 1987.1
     Andrew Gilbert Hendry gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Highland Regiment (Black Watch).1 Andrew Gilbert Hendry usually went by his middle name of Gilbert.1
