     Rose McKeage was born on 11 September 1875 at Coleraine, County Londonderry, Ireland.1 She was the daughter of James McKeage and Rose McDowell. She married George Robert Longstaffe, son of Joseph S. Longstaffe and Janey (?), in 1908 at The Beach Farm, Lowcliffe, Canterbury, New Zealand.1 She died on 25 February 1957 at age 81.1,2 She was buried at Prebbleton Anglican Cemetery, Prebbleton, Canterbury, New Zealand, plot 119.2
     From 1908, her married name became Longstaffe.2
