     William Lewis McKenzie was born in 1885.1,2 He was the son of Samuel McKenzie and Jessie McGeorge.1 He died on 4 October 1917 at Passchendale, France, killed in action.1 He was buried at Tyne Cot Memorial, Zonnebeke, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.2
     William Lewis McKenzie was also known as William Louis McKenzie.2 William served in the 3rd Battalion, Wellington Regiment, 1st NZEF circa 1916 as a private 44619.2
