     Dudley Hampton was born in 1887 at Spreydon, Christchurch, New ZealandG.1 He was the son of Dudley Hampton and Margaret Cassidy.1 He married Lillian Kennet on 7 March 1916.2 He died in 1949.2
     He and Frederick Selwyn Hampton were a farmer from August 1915 to 1924 at Ballykillbeg Farm, Jamiesons Road, Chertsey, Canterbury, New ZealandG, The farm was 788 acres. Dudley looked after the farm once Fred left for the war. However falling land and commodity prices meant Dudley was not able to meet commitments, and he walked off the property in 1924..2 He was a farmer after 1924 at Coopers Creek, New ZealandG.2 He was a farmer before 1948 at Sefton, Canterbury, New ZealandG.2

     Edwin Wallace Hampton was born on 14 February 1891 at Spreydon, Christchurch, New ZealandG.2,3 He was the son of Dudley Hampton and Margaret Cassidy.1 He married Annie Teresa Graham on 14 July 1920 at St. James Church, Southbridge, Canterbury, New ZealandG.2 He married Ella Ivy Stringfellow, daughter of Henry Stringfellow, on 29 July 1929 at Registrar's Office, Leeston, Canterbury, New ZealandG.2,3 He died on 22 January 1962 at age 70 at Christchurch, New ZealandG.3
     He was an electricity contractor, erecting power poles from 1909 to 1910 at Pahiatua, New ZealandG.2 Edwin served in the Canterbury Yeoman Cavalry, 1st NZEF in August 1914.2 He was a farmer from 1920 to 1936.2
