     Mary Jane Hampton was born in 1879 at Ellesmere, Canterbury, New Zealand.1,2,3 She was the daughter of Thomas Hampton and Sarah Jane Hampton.1 She married Joseph Edward Clucas, son of Robert Clucas and Margaret Lace, in 1904.1,4 She died on 26 February 1954.5 She was buried at Greendale Public Cemetery, Greendale, Canterbury, New Zealand, plot 149.5
     From 1904, her married name became (?) Clucas.1
